“God rarely moves the mountains in front of us, but He always helps us climb them” (Sheri Dew, May 3, 2014).
Paintings come from inspiration, and emotions coalesced through adversity. In 2021, our daughter had surgery and was in a life-threatening situation that lasted from May until September of 2021. She had to remain flat in bed for six weeks, and it was obvious to all that she was far from recovered at this point.
But, as a family, we were used to happy endings. Our daughter had cancer when she was five years-old and had to undergo many reconstructive surgeries since that time. After every surgery, she had faith promoting experiences, followed by miracles.
Now, with all she was going through, all we could see were mountains surrounding us. Then I read the above quote from Sister Dew. So, now we watch our daughter valiantly struggle with the responsibilities of a young family, work, and more, though she has resumed her life, the steep hills are far from over.
God’s love is infinite. He is in the details of each of our lives in a very customized climb. Life is all about the climb, the climb never ends. Help will always be there to help us climb. The more you climb, the more you learn along the way.
